美は脳のなかにある 1　Beauty is in the brain .1

 
「美は観る人の眼の中にある」
"Beauty is in the eye  of the beholder."
 
これはイギリスのことわざです

This is a British proverb


先走りして言いますと

眼に届いた光や映像は
信号となって脳に行き
そこで美と感じるかどうか
判断されますから

Light and the picture which arrive to eyes
They become the signals, and are gone by brain

Because they are judged there, beautiful or not,


「美は観る人の脳の中にある」
"Beauty is in the brain of the beholder."
ではないでしょうか？
 
I think
"Beauty is in the brain of the beholder."
 

人の脳による美の判断基準は
万人に共通なものと
生まれや経験による個人的な違い
とがあります。

ですから
やはり

「美は観る人の脳の中にある」
"Beauty is in the brain of the beholder."


The criterion of the beauty due to the brain of the person
Thre are common judge to all people
and
Personal difference by birth and the experience


ThereforeAfter all

"Beauty is in the brain of the beholder."

I think so

生きているということ　To live


谷川俊太郎さんの詩が好きです。

この詩「生きる」の二節

「生きているということ
いま生きているということ
・・・・・・・
すべての美しいものに出会うこと
そして
かくされた悪を注意深くこばむこと」

そして四節
「いま　いまが過ぎてゆくこと」

が深遠で特に好きです。

田沢稲舟　Ｔａｚawa　Ｉｎａｂｕｎｅ



田沢稲舟の和歌
あさましや
骨を包める皮一重
迷う身こそはおろかなりけれ

この和歌の裏には稲舟と山田美妙との悲恋がある


田沢稲舟　Tazawa Inabune

明治の女流作家
田沢稲舟（１８７４－１８９６：明治7年－29年）
明治７年２月山形県鶴岡の外科医の長女として生まれた
いわゆるいいとこの箱入り娘

早熟な文学少女で小説家山田美妙（２３才）に強くあこがれて
明治24年（17才）上京、
共立女子職業学校図画科に入学

25年、美妙への文学的思慕が恋愛に変わり、
鶴岡に連れ戻される


明治２７年（２０才）その思いを小説にし
美妙の紹介で文芸倶楽部に発表、
異色の女流作家として名を馳せる

恋の相手は小説家山田美妙
（１８６８－１９１０）
山田美妙　Yamada Bimyou

２８年１２月山田美妙がプロポーズして２１才で結婚する
２９年２月合作小説「峰の残月」を発表

しかし
同居する美妙の母親、祖母に受け入れられず
箱入り娘だった稲舟は精神的に崩壊、病を得て
２９年３月わずか3カ月で離婚、
鶴岡に帰り自宅で小説を書く



２９年９月２２才で急性肺炎のため亡くなった
一説に自殺との説もある

あさましや
骨を包める皮一重
迷う身こそはおろかなりけれ

かって母が愛した庭の草花が
ひっそりとさいていた

美は皮一重　Beauty is only skin deep.

人の美貌に関することわざがたくさんあります
There are a lot of proverbs about the good looks of the person.

「美は皮一重」　
Beauty is only skin deep.

「美しさはほんの皮一重に過ぎない」
Beauty is but a skin deep.





１９世紀初めのイギリスの政治家　コペット・ウィリアムの言葉といわれています。


They  are said to be words of British politician C. William of the early 19th century.

ブログ「おいしいのみつけよう」より

ことわざの意味は

「見た目の美しさは、表面の皮一枚に過ぎない。

その下の中身を見抜くことが大切である」


「外見がいくら美しくてもそれはあくまで外見だけの話であり、

人間性そのものを判断する基準にはならない」


これ自体は真実であり、善でも悪でもないように思われます。

The meaning of the proverb
"The seemliness is only one piece of surface skin.
It is important to see through the lower contents"

 "Even if appearance is no matter how beautiful,
it is a story only for appearance .
It does not become a standard to judge human nature itself"

 I think theyselves are not good and are not evil





一方、別ののことわざに次のようなものがあります。

On the other hand, a different proverbs have the following things.
「美しさと正直さはめったに一致しない」
”Beauty and honesty seldom agree"

「美貌と愚行はしばしば相伴う。」
”Beauty and folly go often in company.”


そして、
明治時代の女流作家
 田沢稲舟（たざわ　いなぶね）の和歌に
「あさましや
骨を包める皮一重
迷う身こそはおろかなりけれ」
があります。

And,
In a Japanese poem of woman writer Inabune Tazawa
of the Meiji era
"It is a mean thing
To one fold of skin wrapping the rib in
The position to be captivated by is stupid"


これは、骨や肉を包んでいる皮膚一枚に

人間、特に男性が悩まされ続けているという

真実を突いています.

しかし、
悩ましい問題です。

It is said that
To one piece of skin that this wraps a bone and meat
A human being particularly a man continues being troubled.

I think
It's the truth.

However,
It is a  problem.

母子像は心の字　A mother and child image is a character of the heart




発見しました。

ワグナー・ナンドールさんの彫刻
「母子像・ふるさと」
は
漢字の「心」に
似ています


「心」の字を左右反転したように見えます

I have discovered

Sculpture of  Wagner Nandor
"A mother and child image, hometown"
is similar to
 the kanji of "心（ heart）"

The left right seemed to reverse the character of "the heart（心）"

「母子像」は「母と子の心」を表しているのではないでしょうか？

Will not "the mother and child image" express "the heart of mother and the child?"

ワグナー・ナンドール氏は
「進歩したテクノロジーが平和な生活に役立つには
健全で平静な心が必要だ」
とコメントしています。

丸い「母と子の心」が
「健全で平静な心」を作る
とおっしゃりたいのではないでしょうか？

Mr. Wagner Nandor commented on
"So that the progressed technology  helps peaceful life
A healthy and peaceful heart is necessary"

Wouldn't  he  say ?
"The round heart of mother and  child
 makes
a healthy and peaceful heart"
